Summary
I am a staff writer at the Butler Eagle daily newspaper in western Pennsylvania. I cover the rapid development and urbanization of western Butler County, Pa. through the lenses of local governments, schools, businesses, local organizations, etc. while focusing on the stories of the people living through it.

I was born and raised in Syracuse, N.Y., and I currently live in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Butler Eagle: Staff Writer
Reported and wrote articles about local governments, businesses, state politics, school and more covering the rapid development and growth in southwestern Butler County. Took pictures, shot and edited video on smartphones and DSLR cameras, wrote and formatted email newsletters and wrote posts for social media.

Butler Eagle: Intern
Worked full time in the Butler Eagle newsroom filling in a for a recently vacated general assignment reporter position. Reported and wrote articles, took pictures, shot and edited video.
Aug. 2016 - May 2017
The Collegian: Editor in Chief​​
Edited the Grove City College student newspaper, The Collegian.
Coordinated with section editors and writers to fill the paper each week. Reported and wrote articles covering the college and surrounding area. Took and edited photos. Designed pages and made graphics. Worked with administration to approve and re-start our website. Increased social media presence.

New York Press Association: Intern​​
Interned at Eagle News in Syracuse, NY working primarily with the Eagle Observer and the Skaneateles Press. Wrote articles primarily covering events and organizations in and around the suburbs of Syracuse. Took pictures and helped proofread and design the paper on production days. Continued on as a stringer until January 2016.
Education
Grove City College: B.A. Philosophy
Received my bachelors in Philosophy in June of 2017 at Grove City College where I was also involved in the student paper, The Collegian, and the student radio station, WSAJ 91.1.
World Journalism Institute
Attended a two week digital journalism training program hosted by WORLD Magazine in Asheville, NC. Worked 14 hour days learning digital reporting tools and techniques, photojournalism and audio and video editing.
